Why am I being asked to sign-in with my e-mail address? What happened to MemberID?

We switched to e-mail address as the key piece of identification because it's easier for most people to remember and it ensures that we'll be able to contact you if necessary.

Why am I only allowed to have one MemberID? Can I change it later?

Some of the new systems we've implemented on the site are dependent on each person having one unique MemberID. For example, the message boards use your MemberID to deliver your personal messages, maintain your "Ignore" list and track the number of posts you have made.

Because of this heavy reliance on there being just one MemberID per user, you will not be able to switch your MemberID once you choose one. So please think carefully before deciding upon a MemberID.

What is all this talk about a MemberID? What the heck is it? How do I get one?

Your MemberID is a vanity name you assign yourself for identification purposes on the message boards, in the chat rooms, etc. MemberIDs are required before you will be allowed to post on the message boards (how else will people know who to credit for that nugget of brilliant insight?) and you will be asked to create one the first time you attempt to log-in to the message boards or post a reply to an existing thread.

I've already registered on the site. How do I update my profile or change my password?

You can update any information on your profile, including your password. Simply log-in using your existing e-mail address and password. On the following screen, you can add or modify any piece of information. Don't forget to hit the "Register" button at the bottom of the screen to submit your changes.

Quote of the Week
"We played well. Our offensive line did a great job, but it was also important the contributions we got from Boss and Hedgecock blocking the defenders. All three of us in the backfield did well and it could have been worse. Due to technical difficulties I didn’t return but they were having trouble with Mother Nature today." - RB Brandon Jacobs following the Giants 30-10 win over the Ravens
