Updated November 12, 2006 Giants Fall to Bears, 38-20 It was a bad day to be a Giant Sunday. They squandered a 10-point lead in Giants Stadium and lost to the Chicago Bears, 38-20. The defeat ended their winning streak at five games and all but destroyed their chances of earning the top seed in the NFC Playoffs. The Giants fell to 6-3, two games behind the 8-1 Bears, who now hold the tiebreaker advantage. As if that's not bad enough, both of the Giants' closest pursuers in the NFC East - dallas and Philadelphia - both won, reducing their division lead to one game. The Giants gave up a touchdown that went directly to the record books. Oh, there's more. Left tackle Luke Petitgout, the senior starter on the offensive line, broke his left fibula. And the Giants must now on the road for two weeks, starting next Monday night in Jacksonville in Coughlin's return to his old stomping grounds. Rex Grossman threw three touchdown passes and Devin Hester (on a 108-yard play) and Thomas Jones add fourth-quarter scores. For the Giants, Tiki Barber rushed for 141 yards, Brandon Jacobs scored a pair of touchdowns and Jay Feely kicked two field goals. Here's more...
