Updated December 3, 2006 Giants Fall to Cowboys, 23-20 The Giants are in a fight for their playoff lives.
Although they tied the score three times after falling behind, the Giants surrendered big plays in the final minute of the game and lost today to the Dallas Cowboys in Giants Stadium, 23-20.
The Giants lost their fourth consecutive game and fell to 6-6, two games behind the 8-4 Cowboys in the NFC East race.
Marion Barber ran for two touchdowns and Martin Gramatica kicked three field goals for Dallas, including the game-winning 46-yarder with only one second remaining.
Jeremy Shockey and Plaxico Burress touchdown passes and Jay Feely kicked a pair of field goals for the Giants.
After Burress’ touchdown reception tied the game, the Cowboys took possession at their own 32–yard line with one minute left. On the first play, Tony Romo rolled left to evade a rush, then hit tight end Jason Witten for a 42-yard gain to the Giants’ 26.
Barber gained a yard and the Cowboys lost five before Gramatica –signed just last week - lined up for the game-winning kick. His kick was perfect sending to the Giants to a crushing defeat for the second week in a row. More
