After weeks of enormous hype resulting from the presence of Eli and Peyton Manning as the first pair of brothers to start the same game in NFL history, the Giants will remember the night only in disappointment. After falling behind by 13 points early, the Giants rallied but fell short, losing their season-opening game to the Indianapolis Colts, 26-21, in Giants Stadium Sunday night.
Peyton Manning threw a touchdown pass to tight end Dallas Clark, Dominic Rhodes ran for a score and Adam Vinatieri kicked three field goals for the Colts.
Eli Manning threw scoring passes to Plaxico Burress (34 yards) and Jeremy Shockey (15 yards) and Brandon Jacobs scored on a one-yard run for the Giants.
