Giants Over 49ers, 24-6
It wasn't the most artistic game they'll ever play, but the Giants today avoided the trap they'd heard about all week and extended their winning streak to three games with a 24-6 victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Monster Park.

The Giants' defense held the opposition without a touchdown for the second week in a row. Last week, the Giants routed Washington, 36-0.

The victory improved the Giants' record to 6-2, their best mark at the season's halfway point since they had the same record in 2000, the year they won the NFC Championship. They remain in sole possession of first place in the NFC East. It was also QB Eli Manning's first win away from Giants Stadium.
