Notables: LB Jessie Armstead (1993, 8th Rd), Jeremy Shockey (2002, 1st Rd), S Kenny Phillips (2008, 1st Rd)
Armstead, who never missed a game in his career, became another link in the chain of great Giants linebackers and made five Pro Bowls while leading the Giants to an appearance in Super Bowl XXXV. Shockey set a Giants rookie record with 74 catches in 2002 and still ranks No. 1 in franchise history among tight ends with 371 catches while making four Pro Bowls. Phillips was part of a three-headed monster at safety during the Giants’ 2011 Super Bowl run and recorded four interceptions that season.
Notable: RB Tiki Barber (1997, 2nd Rd)
Barber owns the Giants marks for career rushing attempts (2,217) and rushing yards (10,449), as well as the most in a single season (1,860) and game (234). His 38 100-yard games are twice as many as No. 2 Joe Morris. Barber’s 15,632 yards from scrimmage give him another Giants’ record. Barber is also second in franchise history with 586 career receptions.
