Led by Brandon Jacobs (22 carries, 106 yards, and two touchdowns), the Giants found balance in the run game, while receivers Rueben Randle, Hakeem Nicks, and Victor Cruz turned in big plays in the passing game. Defensively, they were solid against a talented running back for the third week in a row in Matt Forte, and special teams limited the opportunities of Devin Hester, the most accomplished return specialist in the history of the NFL.
“Everyone wants to know why aren’t you winning?” Giants coach Tom Coughlin said. “Why didn’t you win? Why haven’t you won? What is it? As if it’s something that is difficult to understand or some premise that not many people can figure out. It isn’t. It really isn’t. When you take a hard look at what's happening, it’s not that difficult to understand. There were some very good things done in the game.”
