Odell Beckham Jr. called Drake up on his cell phone.

The Giants wide receiver told UFC star Ronda Rousey in a “Face2Face” feature for DraftKings that he’s been training at Drake’s California house while the hip-hop artist finishes his new album, Views from the 6, scheduled to be released later this month.

“I’m out there working out, but he needs to chill out with that house he’s got out there,” Beckham told Rousey. “There’s just too much going on.”

Beckham and Drake (real name Aubrey Drake Graham) have become close friends over the past few years. He’s been to several of his shows and the two hung out in Toronto earlier this year during the NBA’s All-Star Weekend.

“It’s somebody whose mindset is the same as yours and they want nothing but success,” Beckham told Rousey. “They want to be the best. We just click on a level like that.”

The one-on-one sit-down with Beckham and Rousey featured the two stars trading stories while looking over pictures from their past. Beckham went into detail about being the cover athlete for Madden NFL 16, while Rousey discussed her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit shoot and experience in the movie, Entourage.

Beckham and Rousey also crossed paths a few weeks ago in Texas. The two sat on a panel together at SXSW for the Music, Film & Interactive Festival.
