Watch: Top Five Plays From Practice

Posted Jul 29, 2013

Giants.com catches you up on all the action with our top-five plays from Monday’s Training Camp practice:

5. Mertile intercepts Nassib’s pass. We began the top-five countdown with the defense’s fifth and final interception of the day. Defensive back Junior Mertile, a rookie out of Florida International, jumped a route and picked off rookie quarterback Ryan Nassib.

4. Sash grabs an interception. With a diving play over the middle, safety Tyler Sash scored another for the defense, this time off quarterback Curtis Painter.

3. Hosley intercepts Painter. Cornerback Jayron Hosley, the Giants’ 2012 third-round draft pick, pieced together a solid practice, highlighted by his interception of Painter.

2. Ross picks off Carr. Aaron Ross felt right back at home on Monday with a nifty interception off David Carr as the quarterback tried to thread the pass through.

1. Randle makes two big plays. The competition between Rueben Randle and Prince Amukamara stole the show on Monday at Giants training camp, but it was the wide receiver who came away with the top highlights, including a touchdown from Eli Manning.
