The offseason acquisition has seemed to make the standout list at least once a week since the start of camp. He’s on it once again after making a nice over-the-shoulder interception in Monday’s practice. Bowman has been a special teams ace throughout his career but has shown he can contribute on defense as well.

In six seasons with the Chicago Bears, Bowman recorded 10 interceptions, six of which came in 2009 alone. Last year was his second-to-best season in that department, hauling in three while playing all 16 games with seven starts.

DE Jason Pierre-Paul

With the full pads on today, defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul was a disruptive force at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center.

The fifth-year pro, who is poised for a bounce-back season, showed good explosion and was constantly in the backfield, hurrying throws but, of course, not hitting the quarterbacks in the red jerseys. After dealing with injuries for parts of the last two seasons, Pierre-Paul has started all four preseason games so far this year but has yet to record a sack. His best game came against Pittsburgh when he recorded four tackles and a quarterback hit.

WR Julian Talley

Originally signed by the Giants as an undrafted rookie out of Massachusetts in 2012 -- like another wide receiver named Victor Cruz was two seasons before that -- Talley is wrapping up his third summer with Big Blue. After being waived before the 2012 season, Talley came back in 2013 when he made the practice squad and eventually was added to the active roster for the final two weeks of the season.

Now he’s aiming to stick around for good as the final cuts are made on Saturday. Practices like Monday have helped his cause. Talley hauled in a handful of well-thrown passes today.
