5 things you need to know about Safety Justin Halley

The Giants have signed Safety Justin Halley


1. Justin Halley, a 6-foot-3, 207-pound safety out of Florida International University, closed out his senior season in 2014 with 45 tackles (34 solo) and three pass breakups in 11 games.

2. Pro Day results: 40-yard dash (4.54 seconds); bench press (9 reps at 225 pounds); vertical jump (37.5 inches); broad jump (10 feet 8 inches).

3. Halley finished his FIU career with 157 tackles, seven interceptions and 21 pass breakups. Appeared in 43 games for the Panthers and has the fourth-longest fumble recovery return in school history (62 yards at Troy on Oct. 20, 2012).

4. Halley climbed to second in the FIU record books for pass breakups and finished fifth all-time in interceptions.

5. A Florida native, Halley played at Boca Raton High School, where he played safety and wide receiver and was a 2009 Palm Beach County Coaches’ All-Conference First-Team selection. He was rated the No. 72 player in Florida as a senior by MaxPreps and a three-star recruit by Rivals. Halley is a professional model in the offseason, having worked with Dolce & Gabbana, Givenchy and Dsquared2.
