Ahmad Bradshaw returned to the Giants’ sideline one more time on Sunday.
Before his current and former teams kicked off in the second game of the preseason, the Colts running back accepted a fan award in a pregame ceremony on the field. The Hope Johnson BigBlueInteractive.com “Giant of the Year Award” is voted on by the site’s viewers – a group of whom were in attendance – and has been given out each season since 2005.
After receiving the trophy from BBI administrator Eric Kennedy, Bradshaw thanked the fans gathered in the corner of the end zone.
“I couldn’t give anything back but my passion for the game,” said Bradshaw, who was briefly visited by former teammates
Bradshaw, who climbed to sixth on the franchise's all-time rushing list in six years with the Giants, was released in February and signed with the Colts in June. Bradshaw, still recovering from an offseason procedure on his foot, was activated off the physically unable to perform list this week but did not suit up for Sunday night’s game.
