Giants Safety Antrel Rolle was named to the 2013 Associated Press NFL All-Pro second team

Antrel Rolle was named to the 2013 Associated Press NFL All-Pro second team on Friday, capping a career season for the Giants’ safety.

The nine-year pro set personal bests in 2013 with 98 tackles, two sacks, 12 passes defensed and six interceptions, which tied Philadelphia’s Brandon Boykin and Detroit’s DeAndre Levy for second-most in the league.

Rolle, who was not named to the upcoming Pro Bowl, last picked up All-Pro honors in 2010 when he was also a second-teamer in his first year with the Giants.

As voted on by a national panel of 50 media members, Rolle was the only member of his team to receive an All-Pro nod this season. The Giants currently have no representatives in the 2014 Pro Bowl, which will be played on Jan. 26 in Honolulu. Rolle is a second alternate for the Pro Bowl.
