CB Jayron Hosley says he's confident he'll be ready for the season opener against Dallas.

Q:  What’s the status on your ankle?
A:  We’re going to get some work out there when practice starts and see how it goes.

Q:  Have you run on it?
A:  I’ve done a little running on it earlier this week. It felt pretty good for the most part, just some small adjustments with the shoe and the padding, so I think I’ll be good for the most part.

Q:  How optimistic are you that you’ll be back for Dallas?
A:  I’m taking it day-by-day. Right now I’m feeling pretty confident that I’ll be ready, and the trainers have been doing a great job with me. The trainers have been doing a great job of getting me ready, getting me prepared to get back on the field as soon as possible. I’m feeling pretty confident about playing against Dallas.

Q:  So you’re hoping to practice Saturday?
A:  Right now, I’m doing individuals to start, and then work my way up.

Q:  Are you wearing a special insert?
A:  Yeah.

Q:  Is there anything you can’t do right now?
A:  It’s nothing that we can’t do, we don’t want to go out there and go full blast, we want to ease our way back into practicing. That’s where I’m at right now.

Q:   When do you feel it the most? Turning? Cutting?
A:  It’s really when exploding. That’s the concern right now. Like I said, when I did the running, and the explosive movements, it felt good the other day. As far as the practice part, I want to practice on it; we’ll see how that goes.
