CB Terrell Thomas aims for 2013 return

CB Terrell Thomas who missed the last two years with injury has updated his blog with his thoughts on 2013

Three knee surgeries won’t keep Terrell Thomas down.

The cornerback, who most recently re-injured his anterior cruciate ligament in training camp, hasn’t played a regular-season game since 2010 but plans to return for 2013.

Posting on his blog for the first time since August, Thomas updated his status while reconnecting with his fans.

“I just wanted to thank everyone for their continuing support,” he wrote on Tuesday. “I am returning to football in 2013 hopefully with the Giants, but my contract is up this year but most likely, hopefully I will be resigning with them. Most importantly just wanted to reconnect with you guys and tell you I have been training and preparing. I took a little break from social media to focus on my knee, my mental; it has been hard on me.”

Thomas went on to say he is down in Pensacola, Fla., training under noted orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews at the Andrews Institute. And according to a post Wednesday morning, Thomas just finished his second session of rehab.

“It went a little bit slower than I had expected but they are getting to know me as I am getting to know them,” Thomas wrote. “I am very happy to be here in Pensacola working under Dr. Andrews. He himself is looking over my rehab and workout out an API as well.”
