Consider this the moment you start referring to the Super Bowl season in the past tense.
We are precisely at the midway point between the final snap in Indianapolis and the opening of the 2012 NFL Scouting Combine (also in Lucas Oil Stadium).
And once that kicks off on Feb. 22, it’s all systems go for the 87th edition of the New York Giants.
That’s also when the label “defending” will be slipped in front of the Super Bowl champions, and “this” season becomes “last” season. So what better time than now to look back on the 2011 campaign while it’s still fresh enough in your minds.
