Watch: Sights and Sounds
  • The Giants did not score a touchdown, but they allowed one. This was their first victory with that scoring combination since Dec. 3, 2000, when the Giants won in Washington, 9-7. Brad Daluiso kicked three field goals for the winners. Washington scored the last points of the game, as Philadelphia did on Sunday, on a five-yard touchdown pass from Jeff George to Irving Fryar.

  • Josh Brown scored all of the Giants’ points in Philadelphia on field goals of 40, 44, 33, 46 and 27 yards. He is the first Giant to kick three field goals of 40 yards or longer in a game since Oct. 14, 1991, when Matt Bahr booted field goals of 45, 40 and 44 yards in a 23-20 Monday night victory in Pittsburgh.

  • In the last two weeks, the Giants held Minnesota and Philadelphia to 30 and 48 rushing yards, respectively. It’s the first time they held back-to-back opponents to less than 50 yards on the ground since Oct. 25 and Nov. 7, 2010, when Dallas ran for 41 yards and Seattle for 49 (with a bye in-between).

  • This is the first time the Giants held consecutive opponents to a total of no more than 78 rushing yards since Nov. 6-13, 2005, when San Francisco (52) and Minnesota (12) totaled 64.

  • The Giants have started seven different players behind Eli Manning in their offensive backfield this season. That includes five running backs (David Wilson, Da’Rel Scott, Brandon Jacobs, Peyton Hillis and Michael Cox) and two fullbacks (Henry Hynoski and John Conner). According to the Elias Sports Bureau, that is the Giants’ highest number of starting backs since 1999. No other NFL team has started seven backs this season. An eighth back, Andre Brown, is eligible to be activated off injured reserve for the Giants’ next game on Nov. 10 vs. Oakland.

  • The Giants have played 10 consecutive games dating back to last season without a run longer than 18 yards (their long run this year, by Wilson). That is their longest such streak since they went 11 games without a run longer than 18 yards in 1983-84.

  • Manning threw neither a touchdown pass nor an interception on Sunday, the first time that happened since Oct. 16, 2011 vs. Buffalo.

  • The Giants are 9-17 in games in which Manning does not throw a touchdown pass and 37-11 in games in which he was not intercepted.

  • The victories over Minnesota and Philadelphia improved Manning’s record as a starter in October to 29-7, an .806 winning percentage that is the NFL’s highest for quarterbacks in the Super Bowl era with at least 20 starts.

Ben Roethlisberger 27 9 0 0.750
Daryle Lamonica 18 5 3 0.750
Note: tie games prior to 1972 were not included in winning percentage.

  • Victor Cruz’s seven receptions vs. the Eagles increased his career total to 215. That moved him past Homer Jones (214) and into 20th place on the Giants’ career list.

  • Hakeem Nicks’ 51 receiving yards increased his career total to 4,247, moving him past Jeremy Shockey (4,228) and into 12th place on the franchise’s all-time list. Aaron Thomas is just six yards ahead of Nicks.

  • With the Giants’ victory and a loss by the St. Louis Rams, Tom Coughlin broke a tie with Jeff Fisher and moved into 16th place on the NFL’s career list with 153 regular-season victories. Coughlin is one victory behind No. 15, Hall of Famer Joe Gibbs.

  • Champions for Children, the annual fundraising dinner for the Jay Fund, the charity Coughlin founded in 1996, was held Friday night in Manhattan. The Giants’ victory in Philadelphia improved their record to 9-0 in games following the gala.
