*The Giants won their fourth consecutive games (they were 4-0 in October) and improved their record to 6-2. They are 2-2 in NFC East games after an 0-2 start and lead the division by 2.5 games over Dallas and Philadelphia. *The Giants have six of their last eight games vs. Dallas.
*This is the third year in a row and the sixth time in Tom Coughlin’s nine seasons as head coach that the Giants have been 6-2 at midseason. They were also 6-2 in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2010 and 2011, 5-3 in 2004 and 2009, and 7-1 in 2008.
*The Giants are 3-1 on the road this season, with victories at Carolina, San Francisco and Dallas. They lost at Philadelphia.

*This was Tom Coughlin’s 80th regular-season victory as the Giants’ head coach. He is the second coach in franchise history to reach that plateau. Hall of Famer Steve Owen won 153 games from 1930-53.
*Coughlin has 148 career regular-season victories, one less than former Pittsburgh coach Bill Cowher, who is 17th on the NFL’s career list. Including his 12 postseason victories, Coughlin has 160 triumphs. That also places him one behind Cowher, who is 16th on that list.

*For the second time this season, Lawrence Tynes kicked a career-high five field goals in five attempts. He succeeded from 41, 37, 26, 43 and 37 yards.
*Tynes also kicked two extra points. His 17 points his Giants career total to 535 (113 field goals, 196 extra points). That moved him past Brad Daluiso (526) and into second place on the Giants’ career scoring list. The franchise leader is Pete Gogolak with 646 points.
*Dallas tight end Jason Witten caught 18 passes, the most ever by a Giants opponent.
