Undrafted WR Corey Washington made big plays for the Giants in the Preseason

Corey Washington made everyone scramble for their rosters this preseason and ask themselves, “Who is No. 6, and how tall is he?”

But after the 6-foot-4, 214-pound wide receiver caught four key touchdowns in four consecutive games, no one needed a cheat sheet any longer.

Now Giants fans will get to know him even better.

Washington, an undrafted rookie out of Newberry College, has made the 53-man roster, which was announced on Saturday. In five preseason games, Washington caught 10 passes for 155 yards and four touchdowns, including a 73-yarder that propelled the Giants to victory in the Hall of Fame Game. Washington was originally signed as a rookie free agent by the Arizona Cardinals after the draft but spent just two weeks with them as the Giants claimed him off waivers.
