RB Ahmad Bradshaw

Posted Aug 3, 2012

RB Ahmad Bradshaw meets the media at Giants Training Camp and discusses the hard work everyone puts in at practice

Q: Are you feeling good Ahmad?
A: I feel great. I can’t complain.

Q: How’s it been going? We’re seven practices in, how do we feel?
A: We feel great, man. We’re still going, trying to get better every day. This is why we’re here. We’re trying to come together as a team, as a group. We’re just trying to feel everybody out, to see what everybody has. Everybody’s trying to make plays and trying to impress the coaches and our staff.

Q: Yesterday Coach [Coughlin] was saying it was a big hot day and everybody got sweat on. Is that a good thing? I know it’s probably not fun.
A: Yeah, it’s always a good thing. It’s a great day to get in shape. The sun’s out and you know everybody’s having fun and towards the end you kind of feel it. The monkey jumps on your back and you see a lot of guys who are hurting who just take a knee and just try to get it back.

Q: … in the meetings just how much Coach [Coughlin] is stressing that you guys have to work harder to improve?
A: With these short days, and not having two-a-days this year, and with the new CBA, it’s hard. They’re stressing just putting the information into everybody’s brain. They’re just trying to get the information to flow and then transferred out onto the field.

Q: What’s the danger of guys not being complacent and really using camp to work?
A: Well, these guys kind of take it personally just to get out there and prove themselves. So to have the information and try to transfer it onto the field is tough. You‘ve got to work hard at it.

Q: Ahmad, you’re going to play a game in a week. Are you guys going to be ready?
A: Oh, yeah man. This is what we do. We’ve been doing it for years. This is my 20th year of playing football. It’s just the nature. You want to just jump back into it half the time and get started. I think everybody’s ready for it. All it is transferring the information that they receive onto the football field and I think that we’re going to be fine.

Q: Did you guys see the Victor Cruz magazine layout? One of Vanity Fair’s best dressed?
A: No, I didn’t. I haven’t seen it yet. I’m sure a lot of guys have been on him with it. I haven’t quite seen it yet though.

Q: Ahmad with how good you say you feel, how anxious are you to get into a game situation to try to get that running going?
A: I’m so anxious to play. I can’t wait to see how I can hold up. I think that with the way I feel now I can go all 16, 19, or however many come. I feel great. I can’t explain how excited I am for this year.
