Rashad Jennings had 27 carries for 170 yards and a touchdown in Week 17 vs. the Eagles

Rashad Jennings ended his season by taking home some hardware.

The veteran running back carried the ball 27 times for 170 yards and a touchdown in the season finale against the Eagles, a performance that won him the FedEx “Ground" Player of the Week Award.

It was Jennings’ second nomination of the season – the first of which came following his Week 15 effort against the Carolina Panthers.

Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill won the FedEx “Air” Player of the Week.

While the 170 yards came six yards shy of his career high for a single game, which he set in Week 3 last season against the Texans, the performance gave him 863 for the season, the best of his seven-year NFL career. His previous high was 733 in 2013 with the Raiders.

Starting with 81 yards in Week 14 against the Dolphins, Jennings rushed for 432 yards in the final four games after having 431 in the previous 12 outings.

“The offensive line did a great job of getting body on body,” Jennings, who had 89 yards on the ground in the first quarter alone, said after Sunday’s finale. “And, again, it comes down to finding ways to get those ugly yards and my offensive line gave the backs opportunities for that this game.”

With the win, FedEx will make a $2,000 donation in Jennings’ name to the American Red Cross.
