Your father, a running back, and mother, a track star, were both athletes at LSU, and they’ve passed down their athleticism to you. Aside from catch passes, we’ve seen you run, shoot, dunk, hit a baseball, kick a soccer ball, and swing a golf club. Meanwhile, your current quarterback’s family isn’t too bad itself. Who wins a game of backyard football between the Beckhams and Mannings?

“I’m going to have to go with the Beckhams, because it’s my family. I think my mom would be the key factor… I think my mom could cover Eli or Peyton.”

The first-ever College Football Playoff is less than two weeks away. Do you root for the SEC, or you can’t because of top-seeded Alabama? And what impresses you about Alabama wide receiver Amari Cooper?

“I don’t root for Alabama, but I definitely root for the SEC, just because it’s easily the most dominant conference. If you look back at the season, all the SEC teams that aren’t in the top four are teams that lost to each other and beat each other up. So, I don’t root for Alabama, but I would like for them to win it just because they’re the only SEC team. [Cooper] runs great routes. He’s a young, hungry, competitive guy.”

Your hair has become a trademark as big as your catches. What’s the story behind it, and who does it for you now that you’re with the Giants?

“It gives me strength. I do the top myself and Antrel [Rolle’s] guy does the shape up.”
