The Cleveland Browns come to MetLife Stadium to face the Giants on Sunday

Streak: Lost 4

Common Opponents: Lost to Philadelphia, 17-16 (Week 1)

Head Coach: Pat Shurmur, 4-16 Overall (2nd year)

Connections: Fullback Henry Hynoski’s father, Henry Hynoski Sr., played for the Browns in 1975; Browns’ defensive coordinator Dick Jauron held the same job under Tom Coughlin from 1995-98 with the Jacksonville Jaguars; Browns’ running backs coach Gary Brown played two seasons for the Giants (1998-99), rushing for 1,240 yards on 302 carries (4.1 yard avg.); Browns’ linebackers coach Bill Davis held the same position for the Giants in 2004.

Back at headquarters in Berea, Ohio: “At this point, we’re not where we want to be at and so, we’re putting all our energy and our focus into beating the Giants,” Shurmur said on Monday. “It was a good practice today. Guys ran around and we were working more on fundamentals and doing all the things right and we snuck a peek at the Giants.”
