TOP PLAYS OF PRACTICE, 7/29

5) Carmen Pizzano might be challenging Victor Cruz for the title of fan favorite in Albany. Perched from an elevated platform in front of the crowd, the Giants Assistant Video Director caught Lawrence Tynes’ field goal with one hand while the other taped practice, eliciting a loud roar from the fans.

4) Wide receiver Jerrel Jernigan once again made the cut with a catch deep down the left sideline.

3) If you heard tight end Martellus Bennett’s name today, it was because of the plays he made in Sunday’s practice. His second catch of the day came in traffic over the middle near the end zone and made today’s highlight reel.

2) Second-year safety Tyler Sash picked off quarterback David Carr’s pass during team drills, diving to his left just before the ball hit the grass.

1) The top play of Sunday goes to cornerback Corey Webster, who intercepted a pass intended for Victor Cruz by tipping the ball back to himself near the sideline.
