I’m not sure I agree with the statement that we lack a physical corner. And when it comes to corners, I’m more concerned with cover ability than physicality. But there will be no gamble on Terrell Thomas. If he passes his physical and is cleared to play, he’ll get an opportunity to prove what he can do. But after twice undergoing surgery to repair a torn ACL, he must prove he has the durability to stay on the field and the speed and athleticism to play at a high level. If he can stay on the field the Giants might look at him at safety. But they’re certainly won’t go into training camp or the season without a Plan B if Thomas doesn’t hold up.
