Today’s edition of The Mailbag on Giants.com:

Does the signing this week of kicker David Buehler mean that Lawrence Tynes will not be back as the Giants’ kicker next season?
-Sean

Not necessarily. Tynes is a free agent. The Giants had to bring in a kicker in case Tynes signs with another team. Buehler has experience kicking in the NFL. Tynes would like to return to the Giants, but he’s also eager to see what he can command on the open market. If he does re-sign and Buehler stays, the Giants could have their first real competition for the kicking job in a while.
