Eisen's Mailbag: Rueben Randle's role

I noticed that Rueben Randle started to come on at the end of the year. Do you think he will be the number three wide receiver or will that spot be taken by someone else on the team?

Randle did finish his rookie year well, including a four-catch, two-touchdown performance in the season-ending victory over Philadelphia. He caught 19 passes in 16 games – 10 of them in 2 games (6 vs. Cleveland and 4 vs. Philadelphia). Clearly, he needs to provide more consistent production. But the Giants believe he will do that as an NFL sophomore. Right now, Randle is the heavy favorite to be the Giants’ third wideout in 2013, with Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz as the starters. Assuming his stays healthy, I would be very surprised if Randall didn’t at least double his number of reception next season.
