EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ -Linebacker Michael Boley and defensive lineman Chris Canty are both practicing today, signaling the possibility they might be on the field when the Giants host the San Diego Chargers Sunday in Giants Stadium.

Canty has not played since opening day because of a calf injury. Boley underwent arthroscopic knee surgery on Oct. 6, two days after playing well in a victory at Kansas City.

"They are going to (work) half or whatever we feel like," Coach Tom Coughlin said. "As we move through the practice, the feedback that we get, we will either continue or slow it down a little bit. But they are going to work."

Boley and Canty were two of the key free agents signed by the Giants in the offseason. Their return would bolster a unit that has allowed 112 points in the last three weeks, including 40-point outings by New Orleans and Philadelphia.

Tight end Kevin Boss (ankle) and wide receiver Mario Manningham (shoulder) and Sinorice Moss (foot) will all practice. Moss will be limited.

Only two players are not practicing today: running back Ahmad Bradshaw (foot/ankle) and cornerback Aaron Ross (hamstring).
