EAST RUTHERFORD - The Giants today announced the signing of six rookie free agents and the release of two players from their roster.
The group of acquisitions includes four offensive linemen: guards Andrew Bain of Miami and Camell Stewart of LSU, center Digger Bujnoch of Cincinnati (his given name is Glenn) and tackle Dylan Thiry of Northwestern. The other two players are defensive tackles: Joshua Muse of Louisiana Tech and Ogemdi Nwagbuo of Michigan State.
The released players were defensive back Andrew Shanle and tight end Marcus Freeman, both of whom were on the practice squad at the conclusion of the 2007 season.
Both players signed free agent contracts with the team on Feb. 6.
Shanle joined the Giants' practice squad on Dec. 15, while Freeman signed on Jan. 8, prior to the Giants' second postseason game.
