RB'S BRANDON JACOBS & PEYTON HILLIS
Jacobs inspired the team last week with the first 100-yard rushing performance of the season for the Giants. Making his first start since 2011, Jacobs averaged 4.8 yards per carry and scored two touchdowns, allowing the Giants to find a balance on offense. Jacobs has been limited with a hamstring this week but hopes to again lead the rushing attack on Monday night.
The Giants added a former 1,000-yard rusher this week when they signed running back Peyton Hillis, who previously played for the Broncos, Browns, Chiefs, and Buccaneers. After making his mark in the NFL with Cleveland in 2010, Hillis was brought in to shore up the position with David Wilson out with a neck injury and Da’Rel Scott waived/injured this week. With four practices under his belt, Hillis will contribute in any capacity the team sees fit.
