- Two-year starter at Oregon after a stellar 2-year career at Merced (Calif.) OFF-THE-FIELD ACTIVITY:
- The Reuben Droughns Foundation, Inc., established in 2006, is a not-for-profit organization that provides academic scholarships for college education, recreational opportunities; including field renovation and equipment upgrades and development programs for inner-city youth and under-privileged children. Droughns is dedicated to providing an environment that is positive and caring, and his goal is to establish a learning and recreational center for children to be safe, have fun and improve their skill sets for future development. - Attended the “Taste of the NY Giants” fundraiser dinner at Giants Stadium. - Attended the United Way of NYC’s 2007 “Gridiron Gala.” - Participated in the 2007 Giants Foundation Golf Outing. - Led kids through football drills at the NFL’s “Play 60” Youth Football Festival in Central Park. - Attended the Giants’ annual fundraiser dinner benefitting The Ronald McDonald House of NYC.
