OFF-THE-FIELD ACTIVITY: - Hosts an annual competition around Thanksgiving called “Giving Thanks with the Bossman,” asking Giants fans to tell him what they were most thankful for. He received an e-mail from David Giegerich of Warren, N.J., who said, "I am thankful for my brother Paul. He is my older brother and I am very proud of him. He has also taught me and my family more about the true meaning of life and family than I could ever have imagined." David's e-mail wouldn't be that out of the ordinary except for the fact that his brother has Down syndrome. Kevin hosted David and Paul when the Giants played the Ravens, brought them into the postgame locker room and presented Paul with his game jersey - autographed. - Joined the Giants and American Heart Association to adopt the Town of Lyndhurst, N.J. for the month of April as the town pledged to “Play 60,” with increases in in-school and after school physical activity, including numerous fitness events with the team in their community. - Attended the Giants’ summer cookout at the Ronald McDonald House of NYC, playing games with the pediatric residents and their families. - Attended a fundraiser for Eastern Christian High School - Entertained pediatric patients from Hackensack University Medical Center at Coach Coughlin’s Jay Fund Foundation Ice Cream Social, held at Giants Stadium. - Attended David Tyree’s annual “All-Pro Bowling Classic” to raise operating funds for his Next in Line program and The International Children's Support Foundation, a non-profit charity that helps in-need children around the world. - Attended the Giants Kickoff Luncheon benefitting St. Vincent's Medical Center. - Visited cadets at West Point Military Academy, and cheered on their football team at “Giants Appreciation Day.” - Attended Coach Coughlin’s “Champions for Children Gala” benefitting The Jay Fund. - Joined Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield to host children from Children's Aid and Family Services for a tour of the stadium and autographs on the field. - Attended David Tyree's Next in Line Fundraiser Dinner - Attended the 2nd annual “Taste of the Giants” fundraiser benefitting ShopRite Partners in Caring. - Attended Timothy Christian School’s Harvest Dinner - Attended the Giants annual “Jingle Jam” holiday party at Giants Stadium for 500 N.J. foster children. - Attended a fundraiser dinner for My Sister’s Place, a domestic violence shelter for women and their children that has been dedicated as the “Giants Courage House.” - Participated in a Junior Giants Fan Club fitness clinic event - Joined Coach Peter Giunta and 13 teammates and fellow coaches at a “Sports Night” fundraiser to benefit the Holy Spirit School. - Greeted fans at Big Blue Travel’s “Giants Wrap-up Breakfast”
PERSONAL:
- Married (Breanna) - Was a standout tight end during his 3 seasons with the varsity at Philomath (Ore.) High School….He was an honorable mention All-State Class 3A choice as a senior, adding 1st-team All-ValCo League accolades….Boss was a 2nd-team All-League choice as a tight end and defensive end during his junior year….He also played in the East-West Shrine Game in Baker. - Lettered 3 times in basketball as a center. He led the team to the state title in 2002, picking up honorable mention All-State and All-League 1st-team accolades as a senior. During his junior campaign, Kevin was awarded 2nd-team All-League honors. - Physical education major, with a minor in business. - Earned Academic All-District VIII honors with a 3.2 grade point average. - Older brother, Terry, played soccer at the University of Tulsa and professionally in Puerto Rico and with the N.J. Red Bulls. - Son of Teresa and Bob Boss…Born Jan. 11, 1984 in Corvallis, Oregon.
