TRANSACTIONS:

-          Originally a 6th round (176th pick overall) draft choice by the Oakland Raiders in 2006...Waived by the Raiders on Sept. 1, 2007...Awarded off waivers to the Giants on Sept. 2, 2007.

GIANTS NOTES:

-           Boothe, a Cornell alumnus, is 1 of 2 current Giants who played in the Ivy League. Linebacker Zak DeOssie was a star at Brown.
-           Was the offensive line's top reserve in 2008.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:

-           Has played in 33 regular season games with 14 starts and in 5 postseason games...Has seen action at right guard and right tackle.
-           In 2008, played in all 16 regular season games and the NFC Divisional Playoff game vs. Philadelphia...Majority of play came on special teams or as an extra lineman/eligible receiver...Saw action at right tackle in place of Kareem McKenzie due to injuries vs. Seattle (10/5), vs. Baltimore (11/16) and at Dallas (12/14)...Played the entire 2nd half at right tackle in the season finale at Minnesota (12/28)...Saw action at right tackle for a few plays in the 2nd quarter of the NFC Divisional Playoff Game vs. Philadelphia (1/11) when McKenzie left the game.
-           In 2007, played in 1 regular season game and all 4 postseason contests...Was inactive for 14 regular season games...Was active at Buffalo (12/23), but did not play.
-          As a rookie with Oakland in 2006, he played in all 16 games, starting the final 14 contest at right guard...Helped the Raiders rush for 194 yards at Cleveland (10/1).

COLLEGE:

-           Four-year starter who played 3 different positions at Cornell...Started his career as a right guard before shifting to right tackle as a junior, then moved to left tackle early in his senior year...Was only the 4th Cornell player to earn All-Ivy League honors 3 times...In 2005, became the first All-America 1st team selection at Cornell since 1998.

OFF-THE-FIELD ACTIVITY:
 
-           Attended the Giants' NATS Combine for High School Football Players, speaking to them about the responsibilities and enjoyment of being a student-athlete.
-           Attended the Giants' summer cookout at the Ronald McDonald House of NYC, playing games with the pediatric residents and their families.
-           Attended Catholic Charities' 72nd Annual Club of Champions Dinner, honoring the New York Giants.
-           Attended the Giants Kickoff Luncheon benefitting St. Vincent's Medical Center
-           Attended Coach Coughlin's "Champions for Children Gala" benefitting The Jay Fund.
-           Attended the 2nd annual "Taste of the Giants" fundraiser benefitting ShopRite Partners in Caring.
-           Joined several teammates and the United Way of Bergen County to construct a playground at the Vincente K. Tibbs Center in Englewood, N.J. as part of the NFL's "Hometown Huddle" nationwide day of service
-           Visited wounded soldiers from the Wounded Warriors Transition Unit at West Point Military Academy on Veteran's Day.
-           Visited the Bronx Warehouse of the Food Bank for New York City, loading up a delivery truck of food, which would later be received by their fellow teammates on the defensive line in Harlem, in order to raise awareness of the increased demand for food assistance and the decrease in financial contributions to The Food Bank for New York City.
-           Played Santa at the Giants annual "Jingle Jam" holiday party at Giants Stadium for 500 N.J. foster children, handing out Giants coats, hats, backpacks, and toys to the kids.
-           Celebrated Teach for America Week by teaching a class at Ridge Street School in Newark, N.J.
-           Served as a guest speaker and handed out awards to youth football players at the Irvington, N.Y. Youth Football Dinner.
-           Participated in a Junior Giants Fan Club fitness clinic event.
-           Joined Coach Peter Giunta and 13 teammates and fellow coaches at a "Sports Night" fundraiser to benefit the Holy Spirit School.
-           Celebrated "Read Across America" by reading to students at the Beatrice Gilmore Elementary School in West Paterson, N.J.
