The franchise record is 423 yards at Baltimore on Nov. 19, 1950. The 301 rushing yards is the highest ever by a Tom Coughlin-coached team. The previous high was the Giants’ 289 yards at Buffalo on Dec. 23, 2007. - Hedgecock helped the Giants rush for 207 yards against Baltimore, the NFL’s No. 1 run defense (11/16). The Ravens had allowed an average of 65.4 rushing yards a game and not more than 76 yards in any game. Brandon Jacobs ran for 70 yards in the 1st quarter and Ahmad Bradshaw had a 77-yard run in the 4th quarter. - Scored the 1st touchdown of his career on a 2-yard reception in the 3rd quarter at Arizona (11/23). - In 2007, he played in 16 games – the opener with the Rams and the final 15 with the Giants. He started 9 of those games…Hedgecock had 7 receptions for 52 yards, including 6 for 45 yards with the Giants…He started all 4 postseason games and caught 2 passes for 8 yards…Started at fullback at Buffalo (12/23), where his blocking helped the Giants rush for a season-high 289 yards…Had 1 reception for 3 yards in Super Bowl XXLII vs. New England (2/3) - In 2006, played in 16 games with 9 starts for the Rams…Ran once for 2 yards and caught 7 passes for 29 yards…Had 9 special teams tackles. - As a rookie in 2005, played in 16 games with 7 starts…Made his 1st career start at the Giants (10/2) and led the team with 3 special teams tackles…Started at tight end vs. Jacksonville (10/30)…Made his 1st career reception, a 9-yarder from Jamie Martin vs. Arizona (11/20).
COLLEGE:
- Returned to fullback position for senior season after playing defensive end as sophomore and junior..Played fullback during redshirt freshman year for Tar Heels…Recorded 83 tackles (57 solo), 1.5 sacks, three fumble recoveries, and two forced fumbles while playing defense two seasons…On offense, gained 130 yards with 2 touchdowns on 34 carries and caught 6 passes for 42 yards.
