TRANSACTIONS:

-           Originally signed as a rookie free agent by the Tennessee Titans on May 2, 2007...Waived by the Titans on June 19, 2007...Claimed off waivers by the Jets on June 22, 2007...Waived by the Jets on Sept. 2, 2007...Signed to the Jets' practice squad on Sept. 3, 2007...Signed by the Giants off the Jets' practice squad on Dec. 4, 2007.

GIANTS NOTES: 

-           Strong elusive runner who was the Giants' leading rusher in the 2008 preseason with 181 yards on 33 carries, a 5.5-yard average...Will have an opportunity to fill in the void in the Giants' backfield that was left when Derrick Ward signed with Tampa Bay as a free agent.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:

-           In 2008, played in 6 regular season games and rushed for 15 yards on 2 carries...Was active for the season opener vs. Washington (9/4) and played primarily on special teams...In uniform for the 2nd time at Arizona (11/23), where he had 1 special teams tackle...Played running back for the 1st time at Minnesota (12/28), where he carried twice for 15 yards and played on special teams...
-           In 2007, Ware played in the regular season finale vs. New England (12/29) and had 1 special teams tackles. He was inactive for 3 other regular season games and all 4 postseason games.

COLLEGE:

-           Played in 35 games with 10 starts at Georgia...Rushed for 1,510 yards on 329 carries (4.7-yard avg.) with 8 touchdowns...Also caught 28 passes for 357 yards (12.8-yard avg.) and 2 touchdowns...Had 3 kickoff returns for 36 yards.

OFF-THE-FIELD ACTIVITY:

-           Entertained pediatric patients from Hackensack University Medical Center at Coach Coughlin's Jay Fund Foundation Ice Cream Social, held at Giants Stadium.
-           Attended the Giants Kickoff Luncheon benefitting St. Vincent's Medical Center.
-           Attended the Giants' annual fundraiser dinner benefitting The Ronald McDonald House of NYC.

PERSONAL:

-           Team captain and 2-time MVP rushed for 1,009 yards and compiled 35 tackles and 1 interception on defense as a senior at Rockmart High School...Also amassed 1,003 yards punting with a long of 60 yards...2002 Atlanta Journal-Constitution Top 50 in Georgia, Class AA all-state honorable mention, Prep Start all-region and Rome News Tribune 1st-team all-area selection coming out of high school.
