-           Originally signed as undrafted rookie free agent by the New Orleans Saints on April 24, 1997…Signed as unrestricted free agent by the Miami Dolphins on May 13, 2003…Signed as unrestricted free agent by the Kansas City Chiefs on March 11, 2004…Released by the Chiefs on March 21, 2007…Signed by the  Jacksonville Jaguars as on Aug. 13, 2007…Signed by the Giants as a free agent on March 4, 2008.

-           Knight has 42 career interceptions, which leaves him tied for 3rd among active players with Denver’s Champ Bailey. They trail Darren Sharper (53) and Ty Law (52).
-           Has returned 4 interceptions for touchdowns, all with New Orleans  – 91 yards at Minnesota (11/8/98), 39 yards at Arizona (12/20/98), 37 yards vs. Detroit (9/3/00) and 31 yards vs. Atlanta (12/17/00)…Returned a fumble 80 yards for a touchdown for Kansas City vs. Washington (10/16/05).
-           Knight has played in 156 consecutive regular season games, the NFL’s 14th-longest active streak entering the 2008 season… He has missed only two games in his career, both in 1998.

-           In 2001, started all 16 games at strong safety and was named a starter for the Pro Bowl along with earning first-team All-Pro…Finished with 120 tackles (74 solo) along with 10 passes defensed, 1 sack and 2 forced fumbles…Led the team with 6 interceptions and 5 fumble recoveries…Tied a Saints single-game record and his own career-high with 3 interceptions of Rob Johnson at Buffalo (9/9) while adding 7 tackles.

-           In 1998, played in 14 games with 13 starts and finished 4th on the team with 75 tackles (62 solo) and led the team with 6 interceptions for 171 yards and 2 touchdowns, 9 passes defensed and 2 fumble recoveries…Intercepted Brad Johnson twice at Minnesota (11/8), including a career-long 91-yard return for a touchdown…Picked off a Jake Plummer pass and returned it 39 yards for a touchdown at Arizona (12/20) to become the 1st Saints player to have 2 interception returns for touchdowns in the same season since Dennis Winston in 1984.
