PERSONAL:

-           Married (Freda) with three daughters, Shianne, Samone and Savannah and has an older daughter Aneka…Resides in Leawood, Kansas… Graduated with a degree in communications…Attended Rubidoux (Riverside, Calif.) High, where he played free safety, wide receiver and quarterback as a senior…Compiled 153 tackles, 11 interceptions, 5 forced fumbles and 5 blocked kicks along with 53 carries for 483 yards and 12 TDs as a senior…Also earned letters in basketball and track…Father Sam, Sr. played on the California state championship basketball team in the early '60s at Riverside Community College that was coached by Jerry Tarkania…Older brother Ryan was a running back at USC (1983-86) and another older brother, Greg, was a defensive tackle at Colorado (1986) while his younger brother, Darryl, was a linebacker at USC (1998-2000)…Sammy D.
