-          Originally selected as a fifth round (160th pick overall) draft choice by Atlanta in 2005....Signed by the Giants as an unrestricted free agent on February 28, 2009.

-          After playing on the strong side in the Atlanta Falcons' defense, Boley is expected to man the weak side for the Giants in 2009.

-          In 2005, played in all 16 games with 11 starts...Recorded 60 tackles, 5 passes defensed and a forced fumble, plus 9 tackles and a blocked field goal on special teams...Made 1st career start at outside linebacker at New Orleans (10/16) and accounted for 5 tackles and a forced fumble, which was recovered by DeAngelo Hall and returned 66 yards for the Falcons' first touchdown of the game. On the Saints' next possession, Boley blocked a 39-yard field goal attempt by John Carney with 4 seconds left in the 1st half. The ball was recovered by Demorrio Williams and returned 59 yards for a touchdown as time expired.

COLLEGE:

-          Played in 47 games with 38 starts for Southern Mississippi and had 423 tackles, 28.5 sacks and 9 forced fumbles...The sack total is 2nd in school history.
-          Became the first 3-time All Conference USA first-team selection.
-          As a senior, was named Conference USA's Defensive Player of the Year and was a finalist for the Lott, Butkus and Bednarik awards after totaling 125 tackles, 9 sacks, 5 forced fumbles and 2 interceptions as a senior...Awarded the Conerly Trophy, presented annually to the best college football player in Mississippi.

PERSONAL:

-          Competed at free safety, wide receiver and running back at Elkmont (Ala. High School. Rushed for 1,015 yards on 126 carries and gained another 746 yards receiving as a senior.
-          Graduated in May 2005 with a degree in coaching and sports administration.
-          Was heavily involved in the Atlanta community as a mentor to young children.
-          Born Michael Jerome Boley on Aug. 24, 1982 in Gadsen, Alabama. He is married (Chantelle) and has 4 children, Michael Jr., McKale, Josh and Tyler.
