CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
- Has started every game in which he’s played (75 regular season and 7 postseason) at right guard. - In 2008, started all 16 regular season games and the NFC Divisional Playoff Game at right guard. The Giants are the only team to start the same 5 linemen in all 32 regular season games the previous 2 seasons. - Snee was selected to his 1st Pro Bowl, as the starting right guard for the NFC…Was also named a first-team All-Pro by the Associated Press and The Sporting News and first-team All-NFL and All-NFC by the Pro Football Writers Association. ------ Snee was an integral member of the offensive line that helped the Giants finish with 427 points and 338 first downs, both the 2nd-highest totals in franchise history. The Giants gained 5,695 yards, the 3rd-highest total in their history. The line’s blocking enabled the Giants to lead the NFL and set franchise records in both rushing yards per game (157.4) and yards per carry (5.0). With Snee and the line opening holes, Brandon Jacobs (1,089) and Derrick Ward (1,025) became the 4th pair of running back teammates to rush for 1,000 yards in the same season. - The line’s blocking helped the Giants rush for 301 yards in a victory over Carolina (12/21) that clinched the top seed in the NFC playoffs. It was the 5th-highest total Giants history. - Snee and the line allowed just 2 sacks in a 5-game period from Sept. 21-Oct. 26. - In 2007, he started all 16 regular season games and all 4 of the Giants’ postseason games at right guard…Selected as a 2nd alternate to the NFC Pro Bowl team. - Blocking by Snee and the O-line enabled the Giants to finish 4th in the NFL in rushing yardage with an average of 134.3 yards a game. In their 4-game postseason surge that culminated in a Super Bowl XLII victory, the Giants averaged 305.5 yards, including 103.8 on the ground. - In 2006, started all 16 regular season games and the NFC Wild Card Game at right guard…Offensive line provided enough run blocking for the Giants offense to rush for 2,156 yards, the 7th-highest total in the NFL. - In 2005, started all 16 regular season games for the 1st time and the NFC Wild Card Game at right guard…Offensive line provided enough run blocking for Tiki Barber to rush for a franchise record 1,860 yards and the pass blocking enabled Eli Manning to pass for 3,762 yards, the 5th-highest total in franchise history. - As a rookie in 2004, started all 11 games in which he played at right guard, a job he won in training camp…Missed the final 5 games of the season after waking up the morning of the game at Washington (12/5) with an inflamed gland just beneath his jaw...Arrived at the stadium early, but there was no progress in his condition prior to the time the Giants had to submit their list of inactive players...The condition did not improve enough for him to play again in 2004. - Made his NFL debut at Philadelphia (9/12), where the line’s blocking helped Barber rush for 125 yards on 9 carries, including a 72-yard score. - Gave up his final year of college eligibility to make himself eligible for the NFL Draft.
COLLEGE:
- Was a 2nd-team All-America selection and an All-Big East Conference 1st-team choice by The NFL Draft Report in his final season at Boston College. - In 2003, started every game, including the San Francisco Bowl, at right guard, providing excellent blocking as tailback Derrick Knight ranked 4th in the nation in rushing with 1,721 yards. - Started every game at left guard in 2002, helping the team finish 3rd in the Big East in total offense (5,074 yards) and second in passing yards (3,010). - Third-team Freshman All-America selection by The Sporting News in 2001…Member of the Big East’s All-Freshman team…Played in 9 games, starting the final 6 contests…Made his 1st career start vs. Virginia Tech at right tackle before shifting to right guard for the Pittsburgh contest.
OFF-THE-FIELD ACTIVITY: - Chris is highly involved with his hometown branch of the United Way in Susquehanna County, where he hosts an annual 4th of July Punt, Pass and Kick event and parade. - Serves as a member of the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s “Muscle Team,” and attended their annual fundraiser dinner. - Participated in the Giants Foundation Golf Outing. - Played in NBC’s golf outing benefitting The March of Dimes. - Entertained pediatric patients from Hackensack University Medical Center at Coach Coughlin’s Jay Fund Foundation Ice Cream Social, held at Giants Stadium. - Attended the Giants Kickoff Luncheon benefitting St. Vincent's Medical Center. - Attended Coach Coughlin’s “Champions for Children Gala” benefitting The Jay Fund. - Attended the 2nd annual “Taste of the Giants” fundraiser benefitting ShopRite Partners in Caring. - Attended the Giants’ annual fundraiser dinner benefitting The Ronald McDonald House of NYC. - Visited the Bronx Warehouse of the Food Bank for New York City, loading up a delivery truck of food, which would later be received by their teammates on the defensive line in Harlem, in order to raise awareness of the increased demand for food assistance and the decrease in financial contributions to The Food Bank for New York City. - Prior to the Pro Bowl, made a hospital visit to Kapiolani Medical Center in Hawaii. - Prior to Pro Bowl, hosted children from Make a Wish of Hawaii at a practice. - Greeted fans at Big Blue Travel’s “Giants Wrap-up Breakfast”
PERSONAL:
- Married (Kate)...They have two sons (Dylan and Cooper Christopher). - Attended Montrose (Pa.) High, earning All-State honors as a junior and senior…Named as the Regional Defensive Player of the Year in 1999…Three-time All-Conference choice and a 2-year All-Regional honoree…Recorded 47 sacks in his 3 years as a starter on the defensive line…Led his team to the district title in both 1997 and 1998…Totaled 101 tackles in his senior season. - Played in the 43rd annual Big 33 Football Classic (features the top players from Pennsylvania and Ohio). - Two-time All-Conference selection and team captain on the school’s basketball team. - Member of the National Honor Society and French National Honor Society. - Born Jan. 18, 1982.
