Ryan Jones is in his 13th season as a member of the Giants organization. He joined the Giants in 2000 following nine years as a collegiate coach.
Jones became a coach following a successful playing career as a defensive back at the University of New Hampshire (UNH), where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. He also holds a master’s degree in administrative science from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Jones became a coach following a successful playing career as a defensive back at the University of New Hampshire (UNH), where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. He also holds a master’s degree in administrative science from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Jones began his coaching career in 1991 as a graduate assistant at the University of Minnesota, where he served as the assistant defensive backs coach. He then spent two seasons at Holy Cross College (1992-93), where he was responsible for the strength and conditioning of the entire Crusader athletic department and served as the assistant defensive backs coach and recruiting coordinator for the football team.
Jones was named defensive backs coach at New Hampshire in 1994 and remained in that capacity for six seasons before joining the Giants’ scouting department.
As a defensive back Jones garnered All-Yankee Conference first-team honors and finished his career with 143 career tackles and 15 interceptions at UNH.
Jones is a 1986 graduate of South Plainfield (N.J.) High School, where he lettered in football, track and basketball. He and his wife, Sophia, have two daughters, Riley and Raina.
