The New York Football Giants will celebrate their 90th season as a member of the National Football League on Sunday, September 14, when they host the Arizona Cardinals at MetLife Stadium.

The Giants have created a number of events and special tributes throughout the game, including on-field elements pregame and during halftime to celebrate the legacy of the team, its players and its fans for 90 seasons:

  • Giants’ players and coaches will take the field by running through a fan gauntlet formed by 90 Giants Season Ticket Holders during pregame introductions.

  • The National Anthem will be performed by the West Point Band.

  • This weekend, the Giants, as well as the other 31 NFL teams, will recognize the 200th anniversary of Francis Scott Key’s writing of the “Star-Spangled Banner.”

  • The Presentation of Colors will be by the Joint Honor Guard. A full-field American flag will be unfurled by Season Ticket Holders and members of the FDNY, NYPD, and Port Authority Police departments. There will be a moment of silence in a tribute to 9/11 victims.,

  • Giants legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Frank Gifford will serve as the Giants Honorary Captain for the coin toss.

  • As fans enter their seating sections, they are invited to tap and touch the “Giants Pride” signs, the iconic sign Giants players touch before exiting the locker room to take the field. The signs will be posted at every entrance at all seating areas throughout the stadium.

  • A video tribute to commemorate the 90 seasons of Giants history will be shown on the four video boards inside of MetLife Stadium.

  • The Giants will honor the team's all-time record holders with special appearences by Giants legends

  • The Giants will honor 90-year-old, life-long fan Louis Lofrese as part of the ceremony. Lofrese was born and raised in Middletown, NY.
  • Since playing their first game on October 11, 1925, the Giants have a regular-season record of 661-548-44. The 661 victories are the third-most in NFL history, behind only the Chicago Bears (730) and Green Bay Packers (698). In postseason play, the Giants are 24-24.

The Giants have won eight NFL championships, including four Super Bowl victories. They are 4-1 in Super Bowls. The Giants hold NFL records with 23 regular-season first place finishes, 31 postseason appearances and 19 championship game appearances.
