EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The 100th season of Giants football will include their previously announced first-ever regular season game in Germany, two Thursday games against the Dallas Cowboys, one on the road Thanksgiving afternoon and the other at the start of a five-week span in which the Giants will play three prime time games.
The Giants will open the 2024 season at home against the Minnesota Vikings, end it against the Eagles in Philadelphia, and play the Carolina Panthers in Allianz Arena in Munich on Sunday, Nov. 10, at 9:30 Eastern time. Their bye will be the week after they play in Germany.
Their three night games are Thursday, Sept. 26 vs. Dallas; Sunday, Oct. 13 against Cincinnati in MetLife Stadium; and Monday, Oct. 28 at Pittsburgh.
The Giants will play in Dallas on Thanksgiving for the second time in three seasons and on a major holiday for the third year in a row; they were in Philadelphia last Christmas Day.
The Giants will play back-to-back home games twice: Weeks 6-7 vs. Cincinnati and Philadelphia and Weeks 14-15 against New Orleans and Baltimore. They will play consecutive road games just once, in Weeks 2-3 at Washington and Cleveland.
The Giants this week announced several events and initiatives that will be part of their 100th season celebration, including the announcement of The Top 100 players in franchise history, a vote for the greatest play in franchise history, and special 100th season merchandise.
In the fourth season since the league adopted a 17-game schedule in 2021, NFC teams will play nine home games and eight on the road.
The NFC East will face the NFC South and the AFC North, the latter the only division in which all four teams finished over .500 in 2023. Because they finished third in the division, the Giants will host the third-place teams from the NFC North (Minnesota) and AFC South (Indianapolis) and play the NFC West (Seattle) on the road.

The Giants' 2024 opponents:
Home: Dallas, Philadelphia, Washington, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Minnesota, and Indianapolis.
Away: Dallas, Philadelphia, Washington, Atlanta, Carolina, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Seattle.
Fourteen of their 17 games will be played in the Eastern time zone; the exceptions are games in Seattle, Dallas, and Germany.
The Giants will visit Europe for the second time in three seasons. In 2022, they defeated the Green Bay Packers to improve their record to 3-0 in regular-season games on the continent, all in London.
The game against Carolina will be the Giants' second in Germany, their first in 30 years, their first in Munich, and their first in the regular season.
On Aug. 13, 1994, they defeated the San Diego Chargers in a preseason game in Berlin, 28-20. The game was played in Berlin Olympic Stadium, the primary outdoor venue for the 1936 Olympic Games.
The Giants have won three games in three different stadiums in London.
On Oct. 28, 2007, they won the first NFL regular-season game played outside of North America when they defeated the Miami Dolphins, 13-10, before a crowd of 81,176 in Wembley Stadium.
The Giants next played in London on Oct. 23, 2016, when they earned a 17-10 victory against the Los Angeles Rams in the first NFL game played in Twickenham Stadium.
Their most recent visit to England was on Oct. 9, 2022. Their defense did not allow a point in the second half as the Giants held off the Green Bay Packers, 27-22, in Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Giants and Panthers will play the fourth NFL regular-season game in Germany, and second in Munich, all in the last three years.
On Nov. 13, 2022, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Seattle Seahawks, 21-16, in front of 69,811 fans in Allianz Arena, the only previous NFL game played in Munich.
Last year, the NFL played games on consecutive Sundays in Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt. Kansas City defeated Miami, 21-14, on Nov. 5, and Indianapolis topped New England, 10-6, on Nov. 12. Each game drew slightly more than 50,000 fans.
The Giants and Minnesota Vikings are the only NFL franchises with 3-0 records in Europe. The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers are also unbeaten in three international games, but they each won one in Mexico City. The New England Patriots are 3-1 outside the United States.
Brian Daboll's third season as the Giants' head coach will begin on Sunday, Sept. 8, when the Vikings visit MetLife Stadium for a 1 p.m. kickoff. The Giants will begin their season at home for the fourth time in five seasons.
The Giants and Vikings will meet in a season opener for just the second time. On Sept. 21, 1969, the Giants defeated Minnesota, 24-23, in Yankee Stadium. Hall of Fame quarterback Fran Tarkenton, who was traded from the Vikings to the Giants in 1967, threw two fourth-quarter touchdown passes to Don Herrmann that enabled the Giants to overcome a 23-10 deficit.
After their opener, the Giants will play three of their next four games on the road. They will visit the Commanders on Sept. 15 and the Browns on Sept. 22, both at 1 p.m.
That will lead into their first quick turnaround of the season as they will host the Cowboys on Thursday night, Sept. 26, at 8:15 p.m. This is the third consecutive season the Giants' home game vs. Dallas will be played in prime time. In 2022, the game was on a Monday night, and last year it was on a Sunday night.
The Giants will make their longest domestic trip of the season when they travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks in Lumen Field on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 4:25 p.m.
One week later, the Giants will play their only currently scheduled Sunday night game of the season when they host the Cincinnati Bengals at 8:20 p.m. They will stay home the following week to face the division-rival Eagles at 1 p.m. It will be the Giants' first pre-November home game vs. Philadelphia since 2018.
In Week 8, the Giants will make their only Monday night appearance of the season when they visit the Pittsburgh Steelers on Oct. 28 at 8:15 p.m. It will be the second consecutive Giants-Steelers matchup to be played on a Monday night. Pittsburgh defeated the Giants in the 2020 season opener, 26-16. This will be the Giants' first road Monday night game since Nov. 22, 2021, a 30-10 loss at Tampa Bay.
Following a short week, the Giants will return to MetLife for their final division home game of the season when they face the Commanders on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 1 p.m.
The Giants will make their debut in Germany seven days later in a game that will begin at 3:30 p.m. Munich time in Allianz Arena, the home of FC Bayern Munich. The Giants-Panthers game will be the only NFL contest played in Europe outside of London in 2024. Minnesota will meet the Jets on Oct. 6, and the Jacksonville Jaguars will face the Chicago Bears on Oct. 13 in Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and the New England Patriots on Oct. 20 in Wembley Stadium. The Green Bay Packers and the Eagles will meet on Friday, Sept. 6, in São Paulo, Brazil.
Following their Week 11 bye, the Giants will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in MetLife Stadium on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 1 p.m.
Four days later, the Giants will reprise a trip they made in 2022, heading to Dallas for a Thanksgiving Day showdown with the Cowboys in AT&T Stadium at 4:30 p.m.
Ten days later, the Giants will begin a two-game homestand against the Saints on Dec. 8, followed by the Ravens on Dec. 15, with both games scheduled for 1 p.m.
On Sunday, Dec. 22, the Giants will visit the Atlanta Falcons in another game currently set for 1 p.m.
The dates and times for the Giants' final two games will be announced later in the season.
On Saturday, Dec. 28, or Sunday, Dec. 29, the Giants will host the Indianapolis Colts, time to be determined. The Giants' Week 18 game will be in Philadelphia, the date and time are expected to be released after the Week 17 games are played.
*This season, "flexible scheduling" for Sunday Night Football may be used up to twice between Weeks 5-10, and at the NFL's discretion during Weeks 11-17; for Monday Night Football in the NFL's discretion in Weeks 12-17; and for Thursday Night Football it may be used up to twice between Weeks 13-17. During these Flex Scheduling Windows, the games initially scheduled for Sunday Night Football (on NBC), Monday Night Football (on ESPN or ABC), and Thursday Night Football (on Amazon Prime Video) are tentatively scheduled and subject to change. Only Sunday afternoon games (or those listed as TBD) are eligible to be moved to Sunday night, Monday night, or Thursday night, in which case the initially scheduled Sunday/Monday night game would be moved to Sunday afternoon. Sunday afternoon games may also be moved between 1:00 p.m. and 4:05 p.m. or 4:25 p.m. ET. As in prior seasons, for Week 18, the final weekend of the season, the scheduling of the Saturday, Sunday afternoon, and Sunday night games is not assigned. In Week 18, two games will be played on Saturday (4:30 PM ET and 8:15 PM ET) with the remainder to be played on Sunday afternoon (1:00 PM ET and 4:25 PM ET) and one matchup to be played on Sunday night (8:20 PM ET). Specific dates, start times, and networks for Week 18 matchups will be determined and announced following the conclusion of Week 17.
Some highlights from the Giants' 2024 schedule:
*The Giants will play eight games against 2023 playoff teams: Philadelphia and Dallas twice apiece and one each against Tampa Bay, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and Cleveland.
*The Giants will play five teams with new head coaches: Washington (Dan Quinn), Seattle (Mike Macdonald), Atlanta (Raheem Morris), and Carolina (Dave Canales).
*The Giants will play against several players from their 2023 team, including running back Saquon Barkley and wide receiver Parris Campbell (Philadelphia), guard Ben Bredeson (Tampa Bay) and defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson (Carolina).
*Notable players the Giants will face in 2024 include Dallas' Dak Prescott, whose 36 touchdown passes led the NFL last season; Prescott's top receiver, CeeDee Lamb, who topped the league with 135 catches (16 more than anyone else) and was second with 1,749 yards; Atlanta's Kirk Cousins, the highest profile quarterback to change teams in the offseason; running back Derrick Henry, who joined the Ravens after finishing second in the league with 1,167 rushing yards for Tennessee; NFL sack leader T.J. Watt, who had 19 for Pittsburgh; Dallas' DaRon Bland, whose nine interceptions and five return touchdowns were both league highs; Bobby Wagner, who joined NFC East rival Washington after leading the NFL with 183 tackles for Seattle; and Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey, who made 36 of 38 field goal attempts – including all 10 from 50+ yards - and led the NFL with 157 points as a rookie.
*The Giants are 51-43-5 in season openers, 17-16 in season-opening home games, 51-45-3 in home openers, and 4-10 in MetLife Stadium openers.

*The Giants will play two Thursday games in the same season for the fourth time in their history; the other seasons were 1936, 1939, and 1937, when they lost their opener to Washington and tied the Brooklyn Dodgers, both on the road. They have lost their last eight games played on Thursday, when they are 15-15-3 overall, including 3-8 in Thursday night games since 2012 (1-1 at home). Their last Thursday victory was on a 32-21 decision over Washington on Sept. 24, 2015. The Giants most recently won a Thursday road game on Sept. 25, 2014, a 45-14 triumph in Washington.
*The Giants are 7-6-3 on Thanksgiving but have played on the holiday just five times since 1938. They are 1-4 in the Super Bowl era on Thanksgiving, including 0-2 in Dallas. Two years ago, they dropped a 28-20 decision to the Cowboys Dallas on Turkey Day. The Giants' most recent Thanksgiving Day victory was on Nov. 25, 1982, a 13-6 triumph highlighted by Lawrence Taylor's fourth-quarter, 97-yard interception return touchdown.
The Giants first played on Thanksgiving in 1926, their second year of existence, when they defeated the Brooklyn Lions, 17-0. After a two-year hiatus, they played a Thanksgiving Day game every season from 1929-38. They did not play again on Thanksgiving until 1982.
*The Giants are 26-47-1 on Monday night, including 16-32-1 on the road. In 2023, they split two Monday night home games, losing to Seattle and defeating Green Bay.
*The Giants are 23-33-1 on Sunday night, including 12-19-1 on the road. Their most recent victory was on Dec. 18, 2022, at Washington.

*Detroit will be the Giants' opponent for the preseason opener for the second consecutive year. On Aug. 11, 2023, most of the Giants' starters did not play in a 21-16 loss to the Lions in Ford Field. That was the teams' third preseason meeting since 1966 (including one in 2018).
From 1951-66, the Giants and Lions clashed in 13 preseason games – five times in Detroit, three times in Cleveland, twice apiece in Dallas and New Haven, and once in Norman, Okla. The Lions lead the preseason series, 10-5-1.
*The Giants' trip to Houston will be their longest for a preseason game since 1994 when they faced the Chargers in Berlin, and their longest domestic preseason journey since 1990, when they played in … Houston. That was a 13-10 victory against the Houston Oilers. The Giants defeated the Houston Texans, 34-17, on Aug. 5, 2002, the expansion Texans' first-ever contest, in the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio.
*The Jets defeated the Giants, 32-24, on Aug. 26, 2023. The teams faced each other in 51 consecutive summers (1969-2019) before the NFL canceled the 2020 preseason due to the pandemic. The Jets have won the three games since the series resumed in 2021 and lead the series, 28-25-1. The tie was in 1972.

Minnesota took the regular-season game on Dec. 24, when Greg Joseph's 61-yard field goal as time expired gave the Vikings a 27-24 triumph. In the playoff game three weeks later, Daniel Jones threw two touchdown passes and Saquon Barkley ran for two scores, including the game-winning 2-yarder with 7:47 left, as the Giants won their first postseason game in 11 years, 31-24. The Giants have faced Washington 182 times in the regular season since their first meeting in 1932, making this their most frequently contested rivalry. They are 9-4-1 vs. Washington in MetLife and 16-10-1 in Commanders Field.

From 1950-69, the Giants and Browns had one of the NFL's greatest rivalries, playing each other twice each season (except for 1968). Since the Browns moved to the AFC in the 1970 merger, they have played each other only 11 times (the Giants own a 6-5 advantage).

The game was not as close last Oct. 2 when the Seahawks cruised to a 24-3 Monday night victory in MetLife Stadium. The Giants are 4-6 in Seattle, including 2-4 in Lumen Field, which opened in 2002.

The Giants are 5-9 against the Eagles in MetLife (plus 0-1 in the postseason). But they have lost 11 consecutive games in Lincoln Financial Field, their longest streak in one stadium in franchise history, and are 6-15 in the regular season and 0-2 in postseason play there.

Pittsburgh has won three in a row and four of the previous five games in the series, which began in 1933. The teams last met on Monday night, Sept. 14, 2020, when the Steelers rallied from an early 7-point deficit to win, 26-16. Darius Slayton scored both Giants' touchdowns on passes from Daniel Jones. The most recent meeting in Pittsburgh was on Dec. 4, 2016, when the Steelers raced out to a 14-0 halftime lead on their way to a 24-14 victory. The teams met every season from 1933 through 1969, except when the series was interrupted by World War II in 1943 and 44. Since the Steelers moved to the AFC in the 1970 merger, they have played only 11 times, seven in New Jersey and four in Pittsburgh. The Steelers lead in those games, 7-4.

The Giants will play a regular-season game in Germany for the first time in their 100-season history, and their fourth in Europe, where they are 3-0. The teams will meet for the third time in four seasons with the Giants seeking their third straight victory in the series. On Sept. 18, 2022, Graham Gano tormented his former team by kicking four field goals, including a 56-yarder with 3:34 remaining that gave the Giants a 19-16 victory, Brian Daboll's first home triumph as a head coach. The previous season, the defense limited Carolina to 173 yards and 11 first downs and Gano kicked three field goals in a 25-3 Giants victory that ended a three-game losing streak in the series. The Giants' most important victory in the series was a 34-28 overtime triumph in Giants Stadium on Dec. 21, 2008, when the Giants clinched home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs. In that game, the Giants rushed for 301 yards, the fifth-highest total in franchise history.

The Giants will face the Buccaneers for the first time since 2021, the last of five consecutive seasons in which the teams met. Tampa Bay won the previous two meetings, both played on Monday nights. On Nov. 22, 2021, left tackle Andrew Thomas scored the Giants' only touchdown, on a 2-yard pass from Daniel Jones, in a 30-10 Bucs victory. The four games between the teams from 2017-20 were decided by a total of eight points. On Nov. 2, 2020, the Giants jumped out to an 11-point lead but allowed 19 second-half points and lost, 25-23. The Giants' defeats to Tampa Bay on Oct. 1, 2017, and in 2020 were by the same 25-23 score. They are the only 25-23 results in the 1,455-game history of the Giants (including postseason play).

The Giants and Saints have alternated victories in their last seven meetings, with the Giants winning in 2012, 2016, and 2021 and New Orleans winning in 2011, 2015, 2018 and 2023. The teams faced each other in New Orleans last Dec. 17 when the Giants were held to a pair of field goals – including one by punter Jamie Gillan – in a 24-6 defeat. This will be the teams' first meeting in MetLife since Sept. 30, 2018, a 33-18 Saints victory. The Giants are 2-1 vs. New Orleans in MetLife.

The teams have alternated victories in the last five meetings after the Ravens won the first three games in the series, including Super Bowl XXXV. The teams last met on Oct. 16, 2022, when the Giants overcame a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit by scoring two touchdowns in the final 6:01 for a 24-20 victory. The Giants have won their last three home games against the Ravens, in 2008, 2016, and 2022.

Atlanta has won three straight and four of the last five games in the series, including the last two in New Jersey. The Falcons' victories in the three most recent meetings have been by four, three, and three points. On Sept. 26, 2021, Atlanta scored 10 points in the final 4:13, including Younghoe Koo's 40-yard field goal as time expired, in the Falcons' 17-14 victory. The teams met on Oct. 22, 2018, when the Falcons won, 23-20, on a Monday night in Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Eli Manning threw for 399 yards to help rally the Giants from a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit. When the Giants hosted the Falcons on Sept. 20, 2015, they led by 10 points early in the fourth quarter before Atlanta scored two touchdowns for a 24-20 triumph. From 1981-2007, the visiting team won 12 consecutive games in the series, the longest such streak in NFL history. That included seven Giants victories in Atlanta. The teams' only postseason meeting was a 24-2 Giants triumph in an NFC Wild Card Game in MetLife on Jan. 8, 2012.

On Jan. 1, 2023, the Giants trounced Indianapolis in MetLife Stadium, 38-10, to clinch a postseason berth and end Indianapolis' four-game winning streak in the series. Daniel Jones threw two touchdown passes and ran for two more scores. The Giants raced out to a 24-3 lead and coasted to victory. Perhaps the most impressive player on the field was Colts linebacker Bobby Okereke, who tallied a career-high 17 tackles (13 solo), including two for loss, and a forced fumble. When free agency began 2½ months later, the Giants quickly signed Okereke, who last season played every defensive snap and led the Giants with 149 tackles. The Colts are 1-1 vs. the Giants in MetLife. Dec. 28 is the 66th anniversary of the "Greatest Game Ever Played," the Colts' 23-17 overtime victory against the Giants in the NFL Championship Game in Yankee Stadium.
