Giants alternate uniform coming in 2013

]( UNIFORM HISTORYEAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Giants will have an alternative uniform in 2013, but the change will be on the bottom instead of the top.

The team today announced that players will wear white pants instead of the traditional gray for select games in which they wear their blue jerseys, either home or away. The specific games have not been selected. The Giants will not wear the white pants with their white jerseys.

The white pants will have a thin red stripe bordered by gray and blue stripes. The gray pants have a blue stripe bordered by gray and red stripes.

Under NFL rules, the Giants have the option to alternate three pants styles in their uniform system. They last wore white pants in 1999, the final season they had "GIANTS" on their helmets and all-white road uniforms. The following year, the Giants began wearing uniforms that featured the distinctive "ny" on the helmets and gray pants.
