Giants Early Injury Report

Giants center David Baas continues to be sidelined with neck/intense headaches issues, and Coach Tom Coughlin was careful today not to elaborate until he has more information.

Baas did not play in the Giants' loss Sunday to the Green Bay Packers after arriving at MetLife Stadium with migraine-like symptoms.

"It's much more serious than a headache, obviously," Coughlin said.  "(Intense headaches) was the thing that he brought to the medical people on Sunday. There's a lot more to it than that. He continues to - as a matter of fact, he's having tests even today. He spent most of the last couple of days doing tests. And a lot of that is to try to eliminate things as well. I really don't have any information other than that."

Baas was one of 11 players on the Giants' preliminary injury report as they began preparations for their crucial game against the Cowboys Sunday night in Dallas.

The list included two defensive players who suffered knee injuries vs. the Packers, starting safety Kenny Phillips and backup lineman Dave Tollefson.

"Both will end up being day-to-day," Coughlin said. "We'll just have to see what comes of it. Today, both are sore. If anything they'll do very little."

Running back Brandon Jacobs (hamstring) will practice on a limited basis.

Coughlin said he hopes wide receiver Mario Manningham (knee) "can do some things," but defensive end Osi Umenyiora, who has an ankle injury, likely won't.

Rookie cornerback Prince Amukamara has a sore back.

"It's been an issue with him from time-to-time," Coughlin said. "Actually, as soon as he came back onto the field (after recovering from his broken foot) that started to be an issue. He does have some issues there, but he manages to play with it and we need him to contribute X amount of snaps every game."

Also on the injury report are running back Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) and linebackers Michael Boley (hamstring), Mark Herzlich (ankle) and Spencer Paysinger (hamstring).
