Rinse and repeat.
One year removed from draft season kicking off at the 2014 NFL Scouting Combine, the football world prepares for another go as prospects and team executives gather in Indianapolis this week.
At this time last year, Giants general manager Jerry Reese and company were constructing a draft board that ultimately landed one of the league's best classes.
Led by AP Offensive Rookie of the Year Odell Beckham Jr., the production spoke for itself and recently earned an "A" grade from NFL Media analyst Bucky Brooks, who continued his rookie review series in addition to highlighting what organizations should focus on during this year's combine.
"It's uncommon for a rookie to completely energize a program with his presence and skills, but that was certainly the case with Odell Beckham Jr. in 2014," Brooks wrote. "He was sensational as the Giants' WR1, exhibiting exceptional hands, ball skills and playmaking ability on the perimeter. In addition, he helped quarterback Eli Manning find his groove within a new offense. The emergence of Beckham, who racked up 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns in just 12 games, could make the Giants an offensive juggernaut in 2015 when veteran receiver Victor Cruz returns from injury.
"OL Weston Richburg and RB Andre Williams also contributed as rookies and should be entrenched as starters in Year 2. Devon Kennard flashed intriguing talent at linebacker down the stretch, leading to a potential starting job in 2015. Given the overall success of the class from top to bottom, general manager Jerry Reese deserves a pat on the back despite another disappointing regular-season record from the G-Men. Grade: A."
Big Blue earned the only "A" mark by Brooks in the NFC East, while he gave a "B" to Dallas, "C+" to Philadelphia, and "C-" to Washington.
