Lunda Wells is in his eighth season on the Giants’ coaching staff and his second as the team’s tight ends coach.
Last season Evan Engram, the Giants’ first-round draft choice in 2017, finished fourth on the team with 45 receptions for 577 yards and three touchdowns, despite missing five games with injuries. In the final four games, Engram caught 22 passes for 320 yards and a touchdown. Rhett Ellison continued to provide steady blocking for the Giants’ rushing attack and had 25 catches, including one for a touchdown. And Scott Simonson added nine receptions, and scored his first career touchdown.
