The Giants have signed cornerback Nigel Tribune and waived SaQwan Edwards:
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Giants today re-signed rookie cornerback Nigel Tribune, who was briefly with the team last month.
He replaces another corner, SaQwan Edwards, who was waived. Edwards had been with the Giants since May 13.
Tribune, 5-11 and 195 pounds, played in 42 games with 29 starts in four seasons at Iowa State. His career totals include 145 tackles (114 solo), four interceptions, 27 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. As a senior in 2016, Tribune played in 10 games and had 14 tackles (12 solo). In 2014, he was selected third-team All-Big 12 after posting career-high totals of 64 tackles (39 solo) and three interceptions. Tribune attended Raines High School in Jacksonville.
