Eli Manning to start vs. Dolphins; Daniel Jones and Evan Engram ruled out

ELI-MANNING

Rookie quarterback Daniel Jones has been ruled out for the second consecutive week, which means Eli Manning will start again for the Giants when they host the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

Jones, who started the 10 games prior to last Monday night in Philadelphia, sprained his ankle against Green Bay on Dec. 1. He has shed the walking boot he wore last week and continues to progress. Manning completed 15 of 30 passes for 203 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions against the Eagles.

"All I can worry about is just getting prepared to play," Manning said earlier in the week. "Either way, whether I'm the starter or not, I'm going to be prepared. Just go about my business getting myself ready and getting the team ready to play."

EVAN ENGRAM INJURY UPDATE

TE Evan Engram was also ruled out of Sunday's game. The third-year tight end has missed the previous four games with a foot injury. Engram has 44 catches for 467 yards and three touchdowns in eight games this season.

Guard Kevin Zeitler (ankle/wrist) and TE Rhett Ellison (concussion) have also been ruled out.
