Make the Case: Which OT could Giants select?

ALT-FUAGA-MTC

"Make the Case" is officially back on Giants.com for the 2024 NFL Draft.

In this series, we look at projections provided by analysts and then ask you, the fans, to weigh in on what the Giants should do in the draft.

Next up is a debate between NFL Network's Lance Zierlein and The Athletic's Nick Baumgardner over two of the top offensive tackles in this year's draft.

Pick: Taliese Fuaga, OT, Oregon State

Height: 6-foot-6 | Weight: 334

2023 Stats: 12 games, 351 pass block snaps, zero sacks allowed, 12 total pressures allowed (stats provided by PFF)

Accolades: First-Team All-American (2023), First-Team All-Pac-12 (2023), Second-Team All-Pac-12 (2022)

"Fuaga is one of the finest pass protectors in the draft and some see him as a guard/tackle. He gives the Giants flexibility with where they'll play Evan Neal."

Pick: Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame

Height: 6-foot-8 | Weight: 322

2023 Stats: 12 games, 368 pass block snaps, one sack allowed, five total pressures allowed (stats provided by PFF)

Accolades: Unanimous All-American (2023), First-Team All-American (2022)

"Alt (6-8, 322) will be OT1 on some boards after a fantastic junior season with the Irish. He still moves like the 220-pound tight end he was in high school."
