Quarterback Mark Sanchez was 15 of 26 for 150 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions, and Shonn Greene ran for 73 yards on 18 carries with zero touchdowns. Meanwhile, their defense gave up four rushing touchdowns in Philly.

2) Despite dropping to 8-6 on the season, the Jets are 6-1 at home, where they have outscored their opponents 191-125.

3) Third-year head coach Rex Ryan (32-20 overall) is 6-5 in the month of December. The Jets are 2-1 so far this month.

4) The Giants have won the last four regular season games against the Jets and lead the regular season series, 7-4. Head Coach Tom Coughlin is 3-5 against the Jets in his career (1-0 with the Giants).

5) Jets-Giants Connections: WR Plaxico Burress played for the Giants from 2005-08; Defensive coaches  Peter Giunta (cornerbacks), David Merritt, Sr.(safeties), and Jim Herrmann (linebackers) have all spent time on the Jets' coaching staff; OT Kareem McKenzie was the Jets third-round draft choice (79th overall pick) in 2001; P Steve Weatherford played for the Jets in 2009 and 2010; Jets QB coach Matt Cavanaugh was a member of the Giants 1990 Super Bowl championship team.

6) The Jets offense is 26th in the NFL, putting up 306.0 yards per game, while ranking 21st in both passing (201.9) and rushing (104.1).

7) Meanwhile, the Jets defense is seventh in the NFL, allowing 317.9 yards per game. Their pass defense is also ranked seventh (205.1) while the run defense is 16th (112.9).

8) The Jets score 24.7 points a game (7th) while giving up 22.5 (21st).

10) Back in Florham Park, Ryan is rallying his team for the rivalry week: "Well, that's too bad that both of us lost," he said on Monday. "There's no question. Either team never played up to their capabilities. I'm sure you've got to give the opponent credit for that, but we never did [play up to our capabilities]. I know the Giants never did. I don't think it's going to take away from the game. It might take away a little bit about this game, but it's right there. This is going to be a great game. We said it even in the preseason, it's going to be a knock-down-drag-out. There's going to be a butt in every single seat to see it, whether you're a Jet fan, a Giant fan or just a football fan. I mean, this is going to be a great game."
