- Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey (Horizon BCBSNJ) teamed up with the Giants on November 29th to host a football clinic for 150 boys and girls from area football programs, including the Hawthorne (NJ) Cubs, Dumont (NJ) New Jersey Junior Football and Watchung Hills (NJ) Junior Warriors. Three current Giants players – QB Tim Hasselbeck, K Jay Feely and DT Damane Duckett - led the children through six skill stations, which included passing, kicking and blocking drills. Afterwards, children enjoyed dinner and a "Shape It Up" presentation, an interactive presentation developed by Horizon BCBSNJ and The Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University aimed at combating childhood obesity.
The children felt like all-stars as their role models led them in a day full of exercise, nutritional and lifestyle education.
